Our dad Richard ‘Dick’ Kolisch, died Thur., Oct. 11, 2007 at the Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver, Colo. Dad had suffered for many years. Although he is no longer in pain, we are struggling with our loss. We will continue to hold him dear in our memories and our hearts.
I have attached some pictures of the last time Dad was in Kansas. Richard, my brother, brought mom & dad out last November. They went pheasant hunting with a dear friend's family, Carolyn Doneker. I have also included pictures of the trip to the top of Bristol Head Mountain in which he wished to have his ashes spread. The updraft on the side of the cliff quickly spiralled his ashes upward.
Mom and dad were married for more than 56 years! Their commitment to each other and to our family is a rarity in our current times!

I just wanted to send you a note to let you know that I'm very sad about Dick's passing. I really miss him. He was always very friendly to me and I really enjoyed every conversation I ever had with Dick and will treasure them.
I am so very fortunate that I ran into Dick & Richard in Wichita in the fall of 2006. I could have talked to Dick for hours. I guess Dick & I just hit it off from the first time Mike & I went out to Creede to hunt elk in the fall of 1991. I can remember that first conversation with him like it was yesterday. Two rookie flatlanders out to chase elk with bow and arrow. Dick kept telling us how crazy we were. I can remember him telling us in that deep voice “You crazy bastards be careful up there!”. In reality, I think it was the voice of his own crazy hunting experiences trying to keep Mike and I alive!
I am very thankful for the times that I got to visit with Dick. He was a great man and a great friend and I will always remember him.
God bless you all.
